Counselor-In-Training Program

Recreation summer camp programs, please review the qualifications on this page, complete the attached application and return it to:

Please submit applications prior to May 21st.

Due to the volume of applications, only completed applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Space in the CIT program is limited, so we recommend submitting your application early. The fee for the CIT program is $100 for the summer and includes supervision, supplies, t-shirts, admission & transportation (if applicable). Please submit the $100 fee with your completed application. CITs may work as many weeks as they choose, but a minimum of two weeks is required. CITs may request to be placed in a specific camp however priority will be given to returning CITs. CIT assignments are subject to the discretion of the Camp Directors & Recreation Supervisor.

Please review the following before applying for as a Counselor-In-Training:

  1. CIT applicants are required to attend a Leadership Assessment Workshop on Saturday, June 12th. More information regarding the assessment will be sent when your application is processed. This is a mandatory workshop for all potential CITs. No exceptions.
  2. CIT applicants are also required to attend summer camp staff training on Saturday, June 19th to learn about the organizations policies/procedures and expectations this summer. This is a mandatory training for all potential CITs. No exceptions.
  3. Camps are structured with the campers’ happiness and, most importantly, their safety in mind. To ensure the camp’s quality, we ask that only those who are genuinely interested in working with children and are able to fulfill the commitment as outlined apply to be a CIT. The CIT assignment can be discontinued at any time if it is in the best interest of the program/campers to do so.
  4. CITs are expected to arrive and depart according to their assigned schedule and complete assignments.
  5. CITs are required to wear a CIT camp shirt and name tag each day.

 



CAMPUS KIDS

Ages 3 ½ - 5 years        Location:  Reed School        
Qualifying applicants will have.….

  • Completed their 7th grade year of school in June 2010.
  • Be able to make a week-long commitment, weekdays only from 8:45am–1:15pm

Weeks available:

June 21-June 25 July 19-July 23
June 28-July 2 July 26-July 30
July 5-July 9 Aug. 2-Aug. 6
July 12-July 16 Aug.9-Aug. 13

 

ANGEL ISLAND CAMP

Ages 5 – 12        Location:  Ferry to Angel Island daily
Qualifying applicants will have….

  • Completed their 7th grade, preferably 8th grade year of school in June 2010.
  • Be able to make a week-long commitment, weekdays only from 9:00am–4:30pm.

Weeks available:

June 21-June 25 July 19-July 23
June 28-July 2 July 26-July 30
July 5-July 9 Aug. 2-Aug 6
July 12-July 16

 

ART AND GARDEN CAMPS

Ages 5 – 12        Location:  Ferry to Angel Island daily
Qualifying applicants will have….

  • Completed their 7th grade, preferably 8th grade year of school in June 2010.
  • Be able to make a week-long commitment, weekdays only from 9:15am–1:45pm.

Weeks available:

June 21-June 25 July 19-July 23
June 28-July 2 July 26-July 30
July 5-July 9 Aug. 2-Aug. 6
July 12-July 16 Aug. 9-Aug. 13


HARRY POTTER CAMP

Ages 5 – 12        Location:  Ferry to Angel Island daily
Qualifying applicants will have….

  • Completed their 7th grade, preferably 8th grade year of school in June 2010.
  • Be able to make a week-long commitment, weekdays only from 8:15am–12:45pm.

Weeks available:

Aug. 9-Aug. 13

 

COOKING CAMP

Ages 5 – 12        Location:  Ferry to Angel Island daily
Qualifying applicants will have….

  • Completed their 7th grade, preferably 8th grade year of school in June 2010.
  • Be able to make a week-long commitment, weekdays only from 8:45am–12:15pm.

Weeks available:

Aug. 9-Aug. 13 Aug. 16-Aug. 20

 

SPORTS ADVENTURE CAMP

Ages 5 – 12        Location:  Ferry to Angel Island daily
Qualifying applicants will have….

  • Completed their 7th grade, preferably 8th grade year of school in June 2010.
  • Be able to make a week-long commitment, weekdays only from 8:45am–4:15pm.

Weeks available:

Aug. 9-Aug. 13
