Landmarks Art & Garden Center Classes

We are pleased to introduce our gardening & art programs for youth at the Landmarks Art and Garden Center. Located at 841 Tiburon Blvd., the Art & Garden Center boasts mature trees, shrubs and plants along with terraced, colorful flowerbeds and beautiful vista points; a perfect compliment to our programs! The program fees include all materials/supplies. Students should bring water, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing for gardening/messy art projects.

Earth, Wind, and Clay

Instructor: Jamie Aberegg
Grades: 1-2

Learn to shape, paint and glaze! Join us as we create nature and garden themed ceramic pieces. We will take our inspiration from the various gardens at the center. In addition, we will create mobiles, kites & weathervanes for your garden. Learn techniques and applications of shaping and sculpting clay to create garden themed works of art! Pieces will be glazed and fired. Fee includes all materials. Please wear clothes that can be soiled or bring a cover-up.

Garden Gallery

Grade: K-2 (We have now extended this class to 1st & 2nd graders)

In this fine arts class, students will study the garden environment at the center and create nature inspired pieces using a variety of mediums and techniques. They will explore watercolors, flower pressing, nature journaling and sketchbooks while learning about the trees, flowers and animals that inhabit the Art & Garden Center. This class is designed for the thoughtful child who takes pleasure in discovering the outdoors.

Tea Time

Grades: K-2

Learn the art of party planning and hosting as we prepare for our one of a kind Mother-Daughter Tea Party. Participants will learn how to make and garnish tea, decorate tea cups, bake cookies, grow tea roses and host a teddy bear tea party to practice their tea party etiquette.
