Come experience organized bridge play – where you don’t need a partner, don’t need to call three other players, don’t need to clean your house or offer goodies. Join the crowd and have fun playing bridge!

The bridge play will be in a friendly low-key atmosphere with other newer bridge players just like you. Following the play periods Peggy will present a short lesson and answer your questions on hands played during the session.

This will be a short series devoted to reviewing bidding basiccs, including competitive bidding.  There will be lots of hand to play & practice.
Additional emphasis will be on planning the play of the hand as the declarer (after bidding to the best contract).  This class will help you gain confidence in your basic skills. Come with or without a partner!  Supervised play is a great way to improve.  Bridge classes also  provide the opportunity to meet other newer bridge players for future partnerships and foursomes.

For those who have never played bridge before, here is your chance to join the 25 million Americans hooked on the game! Even if you’ve tried bridge before and ended up  confused, this course is for you. We will start at the very beginning with the fundamentals of bidding and play. Come with or without a partner. You will be playing bridge at the first class! Software to play and practice at home will be suggested and highly recommended.

Biologists have demonstrated that mental activity (particularly bridge!) stimulates the immune system and helps prevent illnesses. In addition to the fun bridge provides, it will improve your mind and memory. Come meet other new bridge players and learn a game that is played all over the world!

What are the best bidding conventions to learn after Stayman and Transfers? In this course, we will analyze in depth some important conventions that come up in practically  every session of bridge. Since bidding is the most significant component of your bridge score, learning them, or mastering the finer points of the conventions that you are  already using, will skyrocket your scores and make you a more desirable partner. Topics may include: Reverse Drury, Help Suit Game Tries, Inverted Minor Suit Raises , New  Minor Forcing, Cue Bid Raises, Unusual Over Unusual, Jacoby 2NT, and Roman Key Card Blackwood.

You may come with or without a partner. There will be lots of hands to bid and play each session! Bridge classes are a good way to meet other local players and to develop  partnerships and foursomes.

Declarer play is the most exciting part of the game of bridge! We will discuss a number of techniques that you can use to take more tricks and ensure your contracts. Topics  may include: counting your tricks as declarer, planning out the hand, deciding whether to pull trumps, hold-up plays, avoidance plays, entry management, choosing the best  percentage line of play, and counting out the defenders’ hands. The course is guaranteed to make you a better declarer and a more desirable partner. You can come with or  without a partner. There will be lots of hands to bid and play each session!
