Important Information
Registration
You may register your child for one day of the week, any combination of days of the week, or all five days of the week. All class titles are subject to change without notice. When registering, choose one class at 1:00 and one class at 1:45.
Coordination with Childcare (BTCCC)
Belvedere-Tiburon Recreation staff will return children to the childcare facility at the conclusion of the Kindergarten Club day if so desired. You must register for both K Club periods if your child attends the BTCCC.
Drop Off & Pick Up
Kindergarten teachers will drop children off at the recreation classroom on their way to kindergarten car line. At the end of K-Club, parents are responsible for picking up their child at the recreation room. Please pick up your child promptly. A late fee of $5.00 per each 10 minutes of lateness will be assessed for late pick-ups. If the late pick-up problem persists, your child’s enrollment may be cancelled.
Absence Notification Penalty
In order for the staff to maximize instruction time it is necessary to call Belvedere-Tiburon Recreation at 435-4355 if your child is going to be absent. Failure to give advance notice if your child is going to be absent will result in a $10 non-notification fee being assessed.
There are no classes on school holidays.
Mondays
When registering choose 2 of the 4 course options listed.
Space is the Place 1:00pm Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars. If you want to know all about stars, planets, galaxies and comets, then this is the class for you. We will travel across space and time to investigate not only the planets in our solar system, but also celestial bodies light years away. We will create a model for our solar system and learn to locate some of our most popular constellations in this science class that will truely be out of this world! Soccer 1:00pm Improve the soccer skills of passing, scoring, defense and goaltending in this weekly class. Through drills and games, you will enhance your game in a supportive atmosphere where good sportsmanship and teamwork are emphasized and everyone’s efforts are applauded. Story-Time Art 1:45pm Flex your artistic muscle with the help of some of your favorite books. We’ll read a story together and then use the book as a springboard to create exciting art projects. See what wonders you can make with the inspiration of your favorite books. Kinder All Ball 1:45pm Ball games, ball sports, ball skills and more! All of the games and sports in this class will require a ball. We will use balls of all different shapes and sizes. Baseball, football, & dodgeball are just a few of the games that will be introduced to your child. This is a fun class designed to improve your child’s hand-eye coordination, develop gross motor skills and dexterity.

Tuesdays

Mad Scientists 1:00pm Step carefully down the rickety stairs into the dungeon and flick on the lone, dreary bulb that lights the laboratory where all the potions, concoctions and brew line the shelves. A dab of this and a pinch of that and poof! Mad Scientists will conduct a new experiment each week to unravel the mysteries of science that are all around us. It’s mad - mad I tell you! T-Ball 1:00pm Batter Up! A whiffle ball and tee will be used as our instructor teaches your child the proper strategies and techniques of our national past time. Throwing, catching, batting stance, swinging the bat and running the bases are all taught in an atmosphere of sportsmanship, encouragement and teamwork. Eco Art 1:45pm Take an artful look at the big, blue marble we call planet Earth. In Eco Art, we will offer a variety of art projects that develop awareness of the environment and encourage a caring attitude towards Mother Earth. Using materials collected from nature, children will explore their creativity with results bounded only by their imagination. Kickball 1:45pm Get ready for the oldest playground game around! Kickball is a fun and engaging game that encourages teamwork and sportsmanship. Anyone can play kickball and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Wednesdays

Sensibility 1:00pm Look, listen, smell, taste and touch in this engaging science class. In this interactive class, children learn basic sign language skills, taste test different types of flavors, discover why a feather tickles and more! Through games, arts & crafts and cool science experiments, your child will discover the magic of the five senses. Street Hockey 1:00pm Flip the puck top shelf or blast one through the five hole. Our most popular after school sports class returns for those intrigued by this fast paced game. Plastic sticks, plastic pucks and sneakers are substituted for wood sticks, rubber pucks and skates, but the speed, skill and excitement remain for our street hockey enthusiasts. Artists Workshop 1:45pm Art classes for kids, who love to draw, paint and sculpt! We will use a variety of materials/techniques such as pencil and charcoal for sketches of 3D shapes, still life, waterscapes, cityscapes, portraits and sculpting. Students will experiment with oil pastel, watercolor, and acrylic paint. Students should wear appropriate clothing for painting. Spinners 1:45pm The classic sidewalk sport is enjoying a comeback. Jumping rope is a great way to build arm strength, agility, coordination and endurance for both boys and girls. Participants will learn basic maneuvers, tricks and sportsmanship. All you need is a little rope and a little imagination to have fun!

Thursdays
There is no K-Club on Thursday as it's early release day for the school. Kindergartners may register for Academy Club on Thursdays, however.
Fridays

Kinder Cooking 1:00pm Through cooking and crafts your child will learn how to follow a recipe and assemble a delicious dish or snack. Your child will use a variety of cooking equipment/tools and acquire skills such as chopping, grating, mixing, baking and more! Monster Soccer 1:00pm This is not your ordinary soccer class! Kids will improve the soccer skills of passing, scoring, defense and goal tending while using a 30” giant soccer ball. Through drills and games, children will enhance their game in a supportive atmosphere where good sportsmanship and teamwork are emphasized and everyone’s efforts are applauded. Under the Big Top 1:45pm Be apart of the K Club Circus! Join us as we learn circus tricks, clown around, face painting, create carnival games and more. Through crafts, games and stories we’ll embark on wacky adventures under the big top! Spanning the Globe 1:45pm ...To bring you a constant variety of sports! Individual sports, team sports, international sports, new sports, old sports, favorite past times, games participants will invent...we’ll cover the gamut in this all encompassing sports class. There will be something new and exciting every day!
