To ensure your child’s safety please review the following:

Getting to Academy Club

Children are responsible for reporting to the recreation room after school. The recreation staff will greet the children. Parents must assess whether their child can assume this level of responsibility. If your child is going to be absent from Academy Club please contact the Recreation office at 435-4355.

Release of students at the end of class & late fees

The Recreation Staff will bring all students to car line at the scheduled dismissal time. Children who do not take both classes of Academy Club classes must be picked up at the class location. Pick up students promptly please. In order for students to be released to meet parents elsewhere on campus, walk home, or remain on campus, you must provide written permission to the recreation staff. A late fee of $5.00 per each 10 minutes of lateness will be assessed for late pick-ups. A bill will be issued and payment is to be made to Belvedere-Tiburon Recreation. If the late pick-up problem persists, your child’s enrollment may be cancelled.

Coordination with childcare facility (BTCCC)

Parents must notify the Belvedere-Tiburon Childcare Center at least one week prior to each session start date. You will be instructed as to their release procedures. Recreation Staff will return children who have attended the Academy Club program to the childcare facility. In order for this to occur the child’s name must be on a daily list that the childcare director manages.

Getting from a specialty class to Academy Club

Recreation staff cannot accommodate exceptions to the greeting and dismissal procedures outlined above. Example: If a parent wants their child to attend a special interest class and then attend Academy Club, the parent is responsible for transporting the child from the special interest class to Academy Club. Please adhere to this policy for your child’s safety.

Absence notification penalty

In order for the staff to maximize instruction time, it is necessary to call Belvedere-Tiburon Recreation at 435-4355 if your child is going to be absent from Academy Club. Failure to give advance notice if your child is going to be absent from Academy Club will result in a $10 non-notification fee being assessed.
